Pornetry – One stop and shop for sex and noodles is a blog that has nothing to do with porn (as far as I can see.) It is a collection of different short photo essays, animations, mpegs and words. I like how he plays with images – clean simple shows.

StreamLine :: How Blogs Work in 7 Easy Pieces has a nice diagram that explains blogs and pings. This is coutesy of Seb’s Open Research (Note: blog now disappeared). What is missing is how the blogspammers find you and spam your comments.

BBC Arts – Books – Christmas Cracker – Stale Pudding is a site about Christmas Crackers as collections of readings. My father used to get personally printed Christmas Crackers books which contained the most wonderful collection of excerpts of readings. Blogs (at least the good ones) bring that tradition to the net.

audblog : sounding out is a service for which you play that allows you to add to your blog audio entries entered from a phone (anywhere.) For $3 a month you can record from a phone up to 12 four minute audio blog entries a month. The audio (I think) is stored on their server, but the system enters a blog entry in your blog if it is supported. (Movable Type is!)

BlogBinders.com (Turn your blog into reality) is a company that will (for a fee) print and bind a blog. Could this be used for Christmas Cracker-like chapbooks? Could one write a thesis this way?

SENT claims to be “America’s first phonecam art show”. They have an exhibit space in LA and a plan a massive blog of cam shots sent in. Neat idea for participatory art. Looks well planned.

Have you found that your bogs are getting spam comments? My blogs are getting a trickle of comments for products. Here is a discussion of how to deal with it if you use Movable Type. Learning Movable Type: Concerning Spam. I am trying the approach of forcing spammers to preview their comments. Lets see if that works. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Feed on Feeds is a server side aggregator which the author claims is “itch-scratch-ware” (great word). See feed on feeds – about. I found this at, /r – echos/ an interesting blog site with a bricolage old newspaper graphic feel.
