The Center for History and New Media at George Mason University has a developed a collection of
Tools including H-Bot (an automated historical fact finder that uses Google to try to answer “when did …” questions) and the ToolCenter which is a wiki about tools.
Some of their other tools include Scribe, a notetaking application; Poll Builder to build custom online polls, and Syllabus Finder to find course syllabi.
An interesting project they have just got funding for is Firefox Scholar
, a plugin for Firefox to “to recognize and capture metadata from online objects, collect documents, images, and citations from the web.”
