The Cyclorama of Jerusalem is the last\/only cyclorama still standing in Canada. <a href=\"https:\/\/theoreti.ca\/?p=552\">I visited and blogged about it back in 2004<\/a> when I was able to visit it. Then it closed and now they are trying to restore it and sell it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cycloramas are the virtual reality of the 19th century. Long paintings, sometimes with props, were mounted in the round in special buildings that allowed people to feel immersed in a painted space.
