{"id":4470,"date":"2012-06-27T21:59:40","date_gmt":"2012-06-28T02:59:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theoreti.ca\/?p=4470"},"modified":"2012-06-27T21:59:40","modified_gmt":"2012-06-28T02:59:40","slug":"digital-infrastructure-summit-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theoreti.ca\/?p=4470","title":{"rendered":"Digital Infrastructure Summit 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A couple of weeks ago I gave a talk at <a href=\"http:\/\/disummit2012.ca\/Program\">Digital Infrastructure Summit 2012<\/a> which was hosted by the Canadian University Council of Chief Information Officers (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cuccio-cdpiuc.ca\/en\/index.php\">CUCCIO<\/a>). This short conference was very different from any other I&#8217;ve been at. CUCCIO, by its nature, is a group of people (university CIOs) who are used to doing things. They seemed committed to defining a common research infrastructure for Canadian universities and trying to prototype it. It seemed all the right people were there to start moving in the same direction.<\/p>\n<p>For this talk I prepared a set of questions for auditing whether a university has good support for digital research in the humanities. See <a href=\"http:\/\/humanistica.ualberta.ca\/check-it-out\/\">Check IT Out!<\/a>.
