He wrote notes on the interview on his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thomascrampton.com\/silver-surfer\/death-facebook-die-lilian-edwards-sheffield\/\" target=\"_blank\">blog here<\/a>. What intrigued me was the emergence of online services like (free) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deadmansswitch.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dead Man\u2019s Switch<\/a> which will send a bunch of e-mails to whoever you want if you don\u2019t respond to some regular ping. A more commercial option is <a href=\"http:\/\/legacylocker.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Legacy Locker<\/a> which,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>is a safe, secure repository for your vital digital property that lets you grant access to online assets for friends and loved ones in the event of loss, death, or disability.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>They use \u201cVerifiers\u201d as in people you trust to confirm if you are dead or disabled. They also offer more services.<\/p>\n<p>An alternative is to add an envelop with a list of your passwords to your will. I\u2019m also told that you should explicitly will your domain names to your heirs if you don\u2019t want them contested.
