I organized and presided over a session on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.philosophi.ca\/pmwiki.php?n=Main.OpenCommunities\">Open Digital Communities<\/a> which was nicely written up by the Chronicle of Higher Education, <a href=\"http:\/\/chronicle.com\/blogs\/conference\/1280\/tech-and-the-humanities-a-report-from-the-front-lines\">Tech and the Humanities: A Report from the Front Lines &#8211; Chronicle.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I also participated in a newish format for the MLA &#8211; what is now being called a digital roundtable on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ach.org\/mla\/mla07\/guide.html#session361\">Textual Visualization<\/a> organized by Maureen Jameson where I showed visualization tools available through <a href=\"http:\/\/taporware.mcmaster.ca\">TAPoRware<a\/> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/portal.tapor.ca\">TAPoR portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Right after Christmas I was involved in two events at the MLA.
