Not sure it is that good. While it has the type of dense allusive prose that can impress people and it deals in an interesting way with Quebec seperatism and terrorism, it was a pain to read. At some point the story wasn&#8217;t interesting and characters became codes without much depth.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nFor Canada Reads stuff, see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/canadareads\/\">CBC<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>In the story a seperatist in jail in Montreal sinks into despair as he is caged waiting for a trial, the movement seems to be failing, and he has lost his love (who could be either Quebec or a woman.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Finished another book from the Canada Reads, Hubert Aquin&#8217;s Next Episode.
