There are some gaps, like the empty biography of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thocp.net\/biographies\/atkinson_bill.htm\">Bill Atkinson<\/a> and a history of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thocp.net\/companies\/apple\/apple_company.htm\">Apple<\/a> that is &#8220;withdrawn for revision&#8221;. It is, however, cleanly designed, and covers a lot. <\/p>\n<p>Some of the information is useful like the biography of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thocp.net\/biographies\/bemer_bob.htm\">Bob Bemer<\/a> who contributed the ESCape key and worked on ASCII, among other things, at IBM. (See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/TECH\/computing\/9907\/06\/1963.idg\/index.html\">CNN &#8211; 1963: The debut of ASCII &#8211; July 6, 1999<\/a> or the archive of <a href=\"http:\/\/mercury.ccil.org\/~remlaps\/www.bobbemer.com\/index.htm\">Bob Bemer<\/a>&#8216;s personal site &#8211; he has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/articles\/A4138-2004Jun24.html\">passed away<\/a><br \/>\n.)
